How Do I Get Started With VanCity Paw Pals?
It's easy! We ask that you go to our 'Contact' page and fill out the form and send it to us. After we receive your information, we'll contact you within 24hrs to arrange a time to meet. Our initial 30min meeting will be at your place with you and your pet. I will email you our consultation questionnaire ahead of time and ask that you email it back 24hrs before our meeting.

How Do We Collect Payment?
Payment is collected in advance before dogs are walked. We collect payment on the 1st and the 15th and accept cash or email money transfer.

How Much Notice Is Needed To Book Or Cancel A Walk?
Walks need to be booked a week in advance. However, if there are openings in the group walks, we will do our best to accomodate getting your dog in on short notice. We do have a 24hr cancellation policy. If your dog is scheduled to be walked at 1:30pm we need to know by 1:30pm of the previous day that you do not need us to come by otherwise you will be charged.

What Prerequisites Does My Dog Need To Meet?

All dogs must be spayed or neutered

Up to date on vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP.

Dogs must have no history of aggressive behaviour towards people or other dogs

We do not accept dogs who pull excessively on their leash. This for the safety of the dog walker as well as the group of dogs

Do I Need To Leave A Key Or Alarm Code With You?
We do require you to leave a key and/or an alarm code with us to gain access into your place based on our schedule in order to pick up and drop off your dog. Your keys and codes are stored in a locked key box at our office to ensure your security. Nobody else has access to them. VanCity Paw Pals is bonded and insured.

What If It's Raining And My Dog Gets Wet or Dirty?
We will walk dogs rain or shine. In the event that your pooch gets wet and/or dirty, we will do our best to clean up when we drop it off. We do require you to leave a towel for cleaning purposes and upon request we can also crate your dog or block it in a designated area.
